The County is seeking software tools that can help businesses be more efficient and thus profitable.  This is not a complete list.  We will work to include more tools after screening or testing.  The inclusion below does not constitute an endorsement of any products or services, and the County receives no compensation for the listing of the products or services shown below.

General Business Planning & Information

Site Selection, Evaluation, and Market Research

  • Esri's Business Analyst Online -- A web-based GIS software that helps businesses identify best areas for their retail stores, do market research, and understand their customer base.
  • Pre-made Maps by San Bernardino County EDA -- including some basic economic variables, incentive zones, tourism attractions, etc.

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • EZNumbers -- a low-cost, easy-to-use software add-on for Microsoft Excel that does financial planning and analysis

Logistics Management

  • Esri's ArcLogistics -- A truck-routing planning and management system that can help you cut fuel burn and reduce equipment needs

Office Applications

  • OpenOffice.org -- a free Microsoft Office-compatible suite with wordprocessing, spreadsheets, presentation, drawing, and database programs

Web-based Conferencing

  • GoToMeeting -- conduct meetings online by sharing any participant's computer screen.  Participant can connect to presenter's audio through their phone or through the Internet.
