Business Assistance

By reducing blighting conditions, the County of San Bernardino Redevelopment Agency is dedicated to creating an environment in which businesses can thrive and succeed. The Redevelopment Agency and its sister departments, Workforce Development and Economic Development, offer business communities within redevelopment project areas various forms of assistance. Some businesses may be within an enterprise zone and a redevelopment project area.

The Redevelopment Agency provides technical and financial assistance to businesses that are interested in starting, expanding or relocating to the County’s redevelopment project areas. The Agency can help with coordinating pre-development meetings with County Planning and Building and Safety Departments; site selection; and job training. The Redevelopment Agency also may provide financial assistance for permits and fees associated with required studies (i.e., traffic studies, air quality analysis, noise standards); and, provide financial assistance with on- and off-site improvements. Pre-development Assistance

The RDA helps prospective developers and business owners/operators who are interested in moving to or expanding existing facilities in redevelopment project areas. Technical assistance includes: site selection; liaison between other County departments, property owners, brokers, businesses, and/or consultants; entitlement assistance; job training through the Workforce Development Department; and architectural, engineering, or other professional services entitlements needed for proposed development.
