The County of San Bernardino Economic Development Agency's Mission is to create, maintain and grow the economic value of the County. The agency focuses on utilizing County resources to spur private investment; assisting companies with site selection, expansion and relocation needs; developing an educated, and high-skilled workforce; and elevating the quality of life for residents.
The three departments below represent a comprehensive response to provide vital information for residents and businesses, create a solid platform for investment and ensure an inviting business climate.
Here is what we do for you
Economic Development Department (ED)
The Economic Development Department provides free site selection assistance to new and existing businesses with the County. This assistance consists of confidential site search for available proprieties based on specific client-provided site criteria, as well as coordinating site tours with real estate brokers, developers, utilities and other public agencies. In addition, businesses receive assistance with permitting, regulation, incentives and accessing market/demographic information.

Community Development and Housing Department (CDH)
The Department of Community Development and Housing works to improve the quality of life for the residents through identifying, obtaining and administering local, state, federal and private funding resources available for infrastructure improvements, affordable housing and community resources and facilities.

Workforce Development Department (WDD)
The Workforce Development Department is committed to meeting the on-going hiring and training needs of businesses. Through this department, businesses have access to on-the-job training reimbursement programs, tax credits, applicant outreach and screening, free human resource consulting, layoff aversion services, and customized training programs. A network of Employment Resource Centers (ERC) provides career services and training to residents in the County.
