Customized Training Program
WDD has the ability to partner with businesses to offset or underwrite up to 50% of the cost of customized training. In partnership with the business and local educational institutions, training programs designed to meet the specific needs of the business can be brought into reality. Utilizing existing state and federal funds, tapping into Employment Training Panel funding opportunities, pursuing specialized grant opportunities and connecting with the wealth of programs available through local Community Colleges and Universities, these programs speak directly to the unique needs of the business. (Subject to funding availability and eligibility)
Example: Potential training dollar savings to business based on 20 employees at an average wage of $15 per hour. The County can reimburse up to $25,000.
